Getting desperate? Hillary Clinton was accused of “stooping to her lowest ever” earlier today when she suggested that “pro-gun” Bernie Sanders, who currently flouts a D-minus rating from the NRA, was indirectly responsible for the Sandy Hook massacre.
— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) April 6, 2016
Clinton, who has refused to debate Sanders before the New York primary unless he changes his negative tone, managed to turn off a lot of people with that suggestion. Therefore, it was up to her campaign’s press secretary, Brian Fallon, to find an even lower low perpetrated by Sanders today, and it looks like this is the best he could find.
Hillary Clinton did not say Bernie Sanders was 'not qualified.' But he has now – absurdly – said it about her. This is a new low.

@brianefallon it all depend on what the word "said " is , amirite?
— FrequentFlyerMiles (@freqflyer_ck) April 7, 2016
@brianefallon Every few hours there's a "new low."
— SophieCT (@SophieInCT) April 7, 2016
@brianefallon New low is using dead kids as political props. Nice job. Hillary called Bernie "desperate" and said she'd "let voters decide."

@brianefallon oh please and her use of sandy hook families is not lower than this. Give me a break.

Taking off the table that neither is qualified to run the country, where would anyone get the idea that Clinton said Sanders was not qualified?
— daveanthony (@daveanthony) April 7, 2016
OK, thatheadline isnot entirelyfair, as Clinton was primarily referring to Sanders’ “botched” interview with the New York Daily News editorial board, which she says did “raise a lot of questions.”
Clinton refused to say Sanders not qualified. This am: "I will leave it to voters to decide who of us can do the job that the country needs"
— Jennifer Epstein (@jeneps) April 7, 2016
Now, did Sanders respond by claiming that it’s Clinton who’s not qualified to be president? ABC News reports tonight that Sanders told a crowd in Philadelphia that Clinton“has been saying lately that she thinks that I am quote unquote not qualified to be president.” Even Sanders, couching his statement inair quotes, refused to claim outright that he had been called “not qualified.”
@brianefallon He even said "quote-not qualified-unquote". Where did he get that? Is he just making it up? A new low indeed.

So, is it true that he retaliated by calling Clinton “not qualified”? Maybe. ABC News quotes him as saying, “I don’t believe that she is qualified if she is, through her super PAC, taking tens of millions of dollars in special interest funds.”So, if she istaking tens of millions of dollars in special interest funds through her super PAC, then yes, he doesn’t believe she is qualified.
.@brianefallon She's used a home brew server for all
Of her classified correspondence as SOS. She is not even close to being qualified.
